Who is handsome jack really
Strona w sklepie. Borderlands 2 Strona w sklepie. Just a guy who got lucky and became a bagillionaire. He bought the company he worked for and is trying to tame a savage planet.
He had a tragic accident when his daughter discovered her super powers and killed her mother. Faced with this terrible situation where his daughter is basically a dangerous monster he is finding the silver lining and having her help him to revive a vault to help tame the crazy dangerous world.
Crimson raiders and vault hunters are basically murdering psychopaths who are trying to illegally take what isn't theirs. Friggin vault hunters. I'm with Jack Joeyshrap Zobacz profil Zobacz posty.
He could finally take control of the world, that is your run of the mill nightmare. It really is a race against time, he needs to control the warrior before the murdering psychopaths get their filthy hands on the power. NewTroll Zobacz profil Zobacz posty. I think every protagonist should laugh gleefully as they remove a father's eyes from his sockets in front of his children.
And then hire some mercenaries to kill his own grandmother. Good times! And buying families from slavers to conduct extremely painful and almost always fatal experiments upon. All in the name of research! The local population primarily male, many of whom were convicts according to my understanding at least have degenerated into banditry and chaos.
It is the process of population crash. A collapse of order and squabbling over remaining resources. Ultimately, most of the population would die, and locally sustainable population centers built on trust, cooperation would survive and thrive. Hyperion, the new, rising corporation cares nothing for the existing population and would be happy to just kill them all and then exploit Pandora for its resources. Specifically including but not limited to the death of Roland. Athena does indeed bear some responsibility for all that Jack did after opening the Elphis vault.
She wants revenge, for all the suffering and loss she and her friends went through. None of the Vault-Hunters with the possible exception of Roland are nice people.
But none of them are sociopaths, and none of them are megalomaniacs, unlike Jack, who is both. Most of them are selfish, all of them are violent. You might even make an argument that Gaige and Salvador could be considered borderline sociopathic, but even with that potential admission, none of the Vault-Hunters have the combination of evil social disorders that Jack does. Claptrap gets a memory wipe and Athena reaches the point where her conscience prevents her from working with Jack further.
Zarpedon attempts to destroy Elphis to prevent knowledge of the Elphis vault from falling into fallible human hands and being exploited in just EXACTLY the way Jack was planning to exploit it. Jack is far more evil that anyone else we encounter in the BL universe. Last edited by Nakos ; 23 Sep, am. I get what you are saying but Jack killed Roland, played with bloodwing, put a pumping station up in Firestone attempted to blow a whole colony up. Those are things the players put some value into, a need to defend.
Besides that his lore states that he murdered his way to the top of a cooperation so that he could abuse that power to experiment with his daughter, build weapons, murder civilians from new haven and so on.
Also, the bandits are clearly insane in everyone way. BUT, the presequel did a good job at showing his human side. Well said Nakos. I think this was the rejected script for Star Wars episodes 1 - 3.
Aniken turns into Handsome Jack, he even has thh vadar outfit or mask or whatever and is disfigured underneath it. Axecop View Profile View Posts. Inferno View Profile View Posts. He erased "Felicity". Originally posted by Inferno :. I agree with everything said. Also, even when playing the Pre-Sequel and hearing him preach about he's the good guy, let's not forget that Jack manipulated the 1st generation Vault Hunters into opening the Vault of the Destroyer so he could claim its power for himself.
The whole thing is revealed in audio logs in the side mission Get to Know Jack, such as forcing Angel into "the chair" and making her control the 4N satellite. He was never a paragon from the beginning.
It was only after Angel was taken hostage by Bandits and her accidental murder of her own mother did Jack truly snap as revealed in the Borderlands 3 side mission, Childhood's End. So yeah, Jack was never good in the Pre-Sequel once you know the whole story.
He used to be a good father until he was driven down the path of no return. And some speculate that there's a specific reason why State Farm switched up its Jakes: they're trying to appear "woke. Of course, that's only speculation, and State Farm even released a statement saying that they only replaced Jake because they needed someone to really embrace the spokesperson role. The new Jake has an intensive film schedule, rubs elbows with big-name celebs like Drake!
He's essentially a pretty face and a nice voice who embodies the brand, and that's what State Farm wanted -- not an actual employee who would wind up being a meme and, essentially, a joke. So is Jake from State Farm really Jake?
Not anymore. Don't worry, though; he's fully invested in the job and he's a pro. The catch is that he is actually an actor , whereas the original Jake was just an employee of State Farm.
He's relatively new to Hollywood, though, so he may very well be one of those actors who gets a start in the industry because of TV commercials. The new guy has fully embraced the role, explaining in an interview that he's excited to see just how far he can take Jake's character. And it seems like State Farm is totally game for stretching Jake from State Farm into one big branding move worldwide.
Then again, their spokesperson did say that while Jake embodies the spirit of State Farm, the person themselves could be any gender or race. So does that mean Jake may eventually become someone else?
Who knows -- but for now, let's just enjoy the celebrity-rich commercial content that State Farm is putting out. They're definitely doing their part to make commercial breaks entertaining again.
